Laura received her law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri after receiving her undergraduate degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a master's degree in International Studies from Florida International University.
Beginning practice she was engaged in the general practice of law, but has been exclusively representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases since 1998. Laura represents injured plaintiffs in civil cases, workman's compensation and social security disability claims.
Laura is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri and belongs to the Illinois State Bar Association, the Alton-Wood River-Jerseyville Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. She is also an active Board Member of the St. Louis Committee on Foreign Relations.
Laura resides in Collinsville with her husband, Ben, and their three sons.
